Drivers are responsible for maintaining valid licences, permits and a compliant vehicle. Asiye must also check eligibility, review changes and restrict access when requirements are not met. Approval is not a substitute for a lawful operating licence.
How to join

Provide the requested documents and your vehicle's registration, model, year, colour and photograph for review.

Keep every relevant permit and certificate valid. Update changes promptly and respond to re-verification requests.

Exact documentation can depend on the driver, vehicle and jurisdiction. Asiye may request additional evidence during initial or periodic reviews.
Where do I upload my documents?
Use only the driver's authenticated Asiye app/profile process or a verified Asiye support channel. Never send identity documents through unofficial websites, social media accounts or unknown WhatsApp contacts.
- Appropriate driver's licence and professional driving permit (PrDP), where required.
- Valid e-hailing operating licence and any associated conditions/authorisations.
- Current vehicle registration, roadworthiness and legally required vehicle information or signage.
- Required passenger safety equipment, including the prescribed panic-button arrangement.
- Vehicle and driver particulars that match the approved Asiye profile.
- Compliance with applicable insurance, traffic, public-transport, and passenger-safety obligations.
- Prompt updates when a vehicle, driver, licence, phone number or other approval detail changes.
Payments and account readiness
Your bank account. Your direct settlement.
For Card trips, the approved driver must complete verified bank and Paystack subaccount onboarding before the booking can be paid.
- Each Card transaction identifies the assigned driver's own Paystack subaccount.
- Paystack allocates 80% of the fare to the driver and 20% to Asiye. Asiye bears the Paystack transaction fee under this model.
- Paystack settles the driver's portion directly to the approved bank account on its applicable settlement schedule. Asiye does not collect the full Card fare and transfer the driver's share afterwards.
- The driver must not use someone else's bank/subaccount or accept a Card booking before the required approval and verification are complete.
- Cash is collected after service. The platform commission is recorded and reconciled under the driver's agreement; Cash is not processed as a Paystack Card split.
- Driver identity, vehicle and required transport compliance must remain current, independently of bank verification.

Common questions
Driver compliance questions.
Am I allowed to take trips as soon as Asiye approves my profile?
You may only perform regulated e-hailing passenger services when you also meet the applicable legal operating licence and vehicle/driver requirements. Account approval alone does not replace those requirements.
What happens if my driver's permit or operating licence expires?
You must stop providing services that require the expired document and update your Asiye details. Asiye may suspend or restrict driver dispatch access until current eligibility has been checked.
Can I use a different vehicle from the one Asiye approved?
Do not use an unreviewed replacement vehicle for trips. Update your vehicle information and complete any required new approval before operating.
Does Asiye guarantee bookings or a particular weekly income?
No. Trip requests and earnings depend on demand, service area, driver availability, accepted fares and other circumstances. Examples on the website are illustrative, not guarantees.
Who is responsible for compliance after approval?
Drivers/operators must keep their documents, vehicle and conduct compliant. Asiye retains its own platform-level screening, oversight and legal responsibilities; these cannot be transferred entirely to drivers.
