- Identity Data: Name, surname, and profile pictures.
- Contact Data: Mobile phone number and email address.
- Location Data: We collect precise real-time geographic location from your mobile device to match commuters with drivers and track trips.
- Transaction Data: Details about payments (via PayFast), earnings, credits, and marketplace interactions.
- Content Data: Marketplace advertisements (images, videos, descriptions) and in-app chat messages.
2. How We Use Location Data
Location data is the core of our service. Asiye collects location data to:
- Enable Commuters to find nearby Taxis.
- Allow Drivers to broadcast their position to potential passengers.
- Track the progress of a ride or parcel delivery for safety and ETA accuracy.
- Background Location: Drivers may choose to share location in the background to ensure they remain visible to commuters while using other apps.
3. Disclosure of Your Data
We share your information with other users and third parties only as necessary:
- Commuters & Drivers: Your name, phone number, and location are shared with the other party once a ride or parcel request is accepted.
- Marketplace: Your contact links (WhatsApp/Facebook) are shared publicly on your ads to facilitate sales.
- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for data storage, Mapbox for navigation, and PayFast for payment processing.
4. Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. In-app chats are stored securely to provide history to the users involved.
5. Your Legal Rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:
- Request access to your personal data.
- Request correction of your personal data.
- Request deletion: You can request to delete your account at any time through the Profile section of the app.
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., turning off GPS).

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
